Teachers matter. So instead of bashing them, or defending the status quo, let’s offer schools a deal. Give them the resources to keep good teachers on the job, and reward the best ones. In return, grant schools flexibility: To teach with creativity and passion; to stop teaching to the test; and to replace teachers who just aren’t helping kids learn.

Dear everyone,
Julia Gillard WAS NOT attacked as she left that restaurant.
The protesters WERE NOT being hostile, and have every right and reason to be protesting.
The pictures you’re seeing of her being dragged away in a hurry, one shoed, are false representations of what really happened.
The federal police whom were accompanying her on the meeting saw protesters surrounding the restaurant, probably waiting for her to go outside and make comments.
So, they saw this as some sort of hostile action, worthy of some kind of rapid escape plan.
Gillard and her entire accompanying party were then seen storming out of the restaurant, the PM being dragged helplessly by a colleague as all the protesters stood by and watched them make massive fools of themselves.
She has no reason to be given sympathy, and the protesters there are protesting for a well worthy cause.
Dear Australian media,
Shutup.

Well, it’s Australia day.
A day in which our entire country comes together to (for some unknown reason) celebrate the day we stole Australia from the people who actually owned it, sending the Aboriginals into an undeserved downward spiral, which will soon end in the complete obliteration of their kind from the planet.
A day in which we celebrate the moment that we ruined the lives of a whole nation of people who happily and lovingly cared for the very land we stand on today.
A day in which Aborigines everywhere mourn the loss of their nation, and dwell on the horrors of their stolen land rights, racist treatment, and undeserved trial.
The Aboriginal community calls this day ‘Survivor Day’.
They aren’t celebrating their own kind,
they’re celebrating the fact that through all this, they survived.
Good one Australia.
Racially aware and respectful as always.
P.S. Listen to our anthem too see just how great we think we are, but then again, how much we lie.
