Imagination, illustrated.

"Even in literature and art, no man who bothers about originality will ever be original: whereas if you simply try to tell the truth (without caring twopence how often it has been told before) you will, nine times out of ten, become original without ever having noticed it."

- C. S. Lewis

I’ve learnt tonight,

that it’s okay to hold something so close to you that you don’t want anyone else to know about it.

It’s okay to keep your most precious things to yourself if it means they stay precious to you.

I’ve had things ruined for me too many times before by people who didn’t understand what they meant to me.

There are things other people will like by coincidence that are precious to me, but I guess that’s okay.

I think sometimes we just need to respect each other’s ‘it’s mine’ complexes, because they’re kind of important.

If we all respect them, everyone will be able to share what is meant to be shared, and keep close what is meant to be kept close to them.
