"Even in literature and art, no man who bothers about originality will ever be original: whereas if you simply try to tell the truth (without caring twopence how often it has been told before) you will, nine times out of ten, become original without ever having noticed it."
- C. S. Lewis
Tea and coffee at the back.
I have this idea.
One day there’ll be some time.
And in the time, we’ll get lost, in every sense of the word.
Just the little group of us will leave.
It’ll be rainy. Stormy even.
It’ll be freezing.
But that’ll only make the adventure more exciting.
This time, we’ll know where we’re going.
We’re going to a little house.
Just far away enough that we feel completely alone.
We’ll have plenty of time to be alone there.
We’ll be lifted of every burden we carry with us.
We’ll be amidst the beauty and majesty of God’s creation, and nothing will take away from that.
No cars.
No business.
Just us.
We’ll just sit around the fire, covered in blankets.
And drink hot chocolate and coffee.
And we’ll just talk.
We’ll just be happy.
We’ll tell each other stories.
We’ll tell each other things that no - one in the world knows.
We’ll pray.
We’ll become lost in the world we can only find when we’re together.
And we’ll never forget it.
We’ll be warm, and there’ll be a mutual intense happiness.
We’ll stay up late, because sleeping gives us less time to be intensely happy.
Our world will be sunny amidst the storms of this world.
We’ll come back after a while.
But we’ll never forget it.
The mutual intense happiness.
Because there’s no doubt we’ll go back.
There’ll be some more time.
And we’ll leave and get lost, in every sense of the word.
It’s this idea I have.
